The “Bobbie” that Dena refers to is me. I am very honored and grateful that she felt like I had something to do with her finding Alexis. I can see now that God was controlling all the moves. All I THOUGHT I was doing was finding rides for kids to go to our Bible School.! I heard later that Alexis told someone at church that she was getting a new Momma. When she was asked Who, she replied, “I dont know yet, but I know that there is somebody out there that wants me.” Alexis, I dont know if you actually said that or not, but that is what I was told. God KNEW who your new “Momma” was going to be, even if none of us did. How Great He is.!
All the members of our church feel like Alexis belongs to all of us. She is one FANTASTIC girl, turning quickly into a young woman. Honey, we love you.

It is truly a marvelous story..and one I truly appreciate as a fellow adoptive mom..I am not sure that any parent that has not gone through this process understands 100% how these adopted children are just as much a part of us as any child born naturally could ever be. In our lives and in our hearts there is no difference.

OH Dena you DID it. Only 5hrs sleep and first thing I start to read on here is this. I am sitting here in tears reading it as I can just feel your emotions through your words. I remember you telling us the very same thing’s as here but reading it again just still amazes me how it all unfolded & the deep bond that is there, was there long before she came home to you & Rod. You are truly an amazing person to me. I am sure years from now that story will be read over & over By Alexis and maybe grandchildren : ) You all found each other from that one simple day. Love you & love always reading your love for your daughter <3
